This is a no-frills gem. Family-run spot that keeps it simple Service is good: friendly, quick, and no fuss Food hits solid. The tom kha soup was tasty! All entrees have real flavor. Portions are generous, prices fair One of the better Thai spots in Huntington Beach

I’ve literally never had a meal here that hasn’t been exceptional. First time coming in on Valentine’s Day, and the extra effort the staff takes to make it special is very pleasantly unexpected for a local business with reasonable prices. Charlie (whom I assume is the manager) is very attentive, always there to greet us like a friend and provide a seamless dining experience. Today we had the the Lawa Thai Tea (beverage), Lawa Sampler Platter (appetizer) with a side of peanut sauce (special request), Pad Kee Mao (AKA Drunken Noodles - entrée) with the Khao Soi Chicken Drumsticks as the protein selection (special request), and the Mango Sticky Rice (dessert). Everything was delicious, as usual! I know there are a lot of great Thai restaurants out there, but Lawa is one of the best. Cannot recommend them enough!

We have been enjoying LAWA Thai Cuisine ever since they had first opened. No fast-food versions here; this establishment only offers traditional authentic recipes with the freshest quality ingredients. One of our favorites is LAWA's 'Crying Tiger" entree; tender marinated sliced filet mignon, complimented with a sauce available mild or spicy. This item is perfectly paired with leafy greens mixed with shredded red cabbage and ribboned carrots, accented with crisp cucumber and sweet grape tomato. My wife always enjoys their generous variety of vegetarian menu options. For those who enjoy additional Thai heat, customers may select from a spice carousel to suit their taste. Treat yourself to a delicious experience; make a reservation for a comfortable table or for take-out at LAWA Thai Cuisine. LOVE THIS PLACE.

I‘m a Hispanic who usually loves Mexican food, but this Thai food was so good! I had the drunken noodles, spring rolls and pork jerky and everything tasted great with lots of flavor. Their spices were also very good with a kick to it. I will definitely be coming back here to eat again. Shoutout to Charlie and Mimmie for being great servers who took care of us and were very attentive.

I am particularly fond of the restaurant's decor. The warm welcome from the friendly staff was greatly appreciated. It is also wonderful that they offer both regular and vegetarian options, allowing individuals with diverse dietary preferences to dine together. We certainly plan to return to sample more dishes from the menu and enjoy the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant.

A Hidden Gem — Truly Authentic Thai Food Yesterday was an emotional day for me and my husband, and after our ceremony for my mum we needed to find a place close by to feed the monks before noon. We found Lawa Thai Restaurant by the harbor, and I’m so glad we did. It’s a small strip-mall spot, nothing fancy, but the food was honestly excellent. I ordered the Chicken Panang Curry and the Spicy Eggplant with chicken, and both dishes tasted authentically Thai — not the fusion style you get at many places. Even the Thai monks mentioned how pleased they were with the food. They usually prefer not to eat at Thai restaurants because so many aren’t truly authentic, so for them to say they enjoyed it really meant something. The Panang Curry was my favorite — rich, fragrant, full of kaffir lime, and the chicken just melted in my mouth. The eggplant was delicious too. (Rice is ordered separately, which surprised me, but the flavors made up for it.) Service-wise, it would have been nice if there were an extra server to help, but for a one-woman show she did great. Things were a little slower, but definitely not her fault — she handled it with grace. For my first visit, I’d say this place is a real gem. I hope they keep cooking with this level of authenticity because it truly shows. I would definitely come back.

We ordered delivery to our office and wow was the food tasty and delicious. And they delivered the food right on time. It is hard to go wrong with Thai food but Lawa was definitely richer in flavor without adding ore spice. We really enjoyed their dishes and will be ordering from them again and again.

This was our first time coming to this establishment after having it recommended to us. It was overall a great experience and our entire group left satisfied. They have a large vegan menu which was great since one person is vegetarian. I'd highly recommend the drunken noodles, red curry. Overall, it was very affordable, tasted great, and we will be coming back.
